When those people came for the communist,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the rioters,
I remained silent;
I was not a rioter.

When they came for the church,
I did not speak out;
I was not affiliated with churches.

When they came for the rich Chinese businessman,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a rich Chinese businessman.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
